China Business was formed by the merger of Zhonghua Book Company and the Commercial Press in Hong Kong in 1980. The Zhonghua Book Company and the Commercial Press are two well-known brands with a long history in China’s publishing and printing industry. By 2015, the Zhonghua Bookstore has a history of 103 years and the Commercial Press has established a 118-year history. In 1988, Joint Publishing (Group) Co., Ltd. was established in Hong Kong and China Business became one of the members of the group.
